Surface treatments applicable to precision sheet metal processing.
Introduction to three types of surface treatments applicable to precision sheet metal processing: plating, painting, and silk screening.
In precision sheet metal processing, surface treatment may be applied towards the end of the processing stages. By applying surface treatment, characteristics that the material does not originally possess can be added. "Plating" is a surface treatment method that deposits a thin metal film onto the material. It allows for the addition of various characteristics inherent to the metal being plated. "Painting" is a process that applies paint to the surface of the material, with various methods such as baked painting and powder coating. Compared to plating, painting excels in decorative qualities. "Silk printing" is a method of printing by applying ink through the holes of a stencil, commonly referred to as silk screen or screen printing. 【Features】 <Plating> ■ A surface treatment method that deposits a thin metal film onto the material ■ Allows for the addition of various characteristics inherent to the metal being plated ■ SPCC lacks corrosion resistance and can rust, but nickel plating can provide corrosion resistance ■ Broadly categorized into two types: electroplating and electroless plating *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
